Ferrosilicon Lump FeSi 75%: Dual-Function Deoxidizer and Silicon Alloy Addition for Steelmaking Every kilogram of ferrosilicon charged does two jobs at once: it kills oxygen and it lifts silicon. ZHENAN FeSi 75 lump is specified so that both jobs stay predictable. As a deoxidizer, its silicon binds dissolved oxygen into silica that reports to the slag; as an alloy addition, the same charge builds the silicon residual toward the grade window, so no second addition is needed.
